I have been looking forward to this tournament because I knew it would have a very good equity for me.When I played in Barcelona I was at one point at a table with 7 strong pros. Yesterday I knew 0. From the beginning I played a lot of hands, even raising with garbage hands like j3 off suit. I did this to take the blinds and create an aggressive table image. After 2 hours of play I hit a big hand. With 77 in the hole I made a full house against a straight putting me at around 25k in chips. I won and lost a lot of small pots over the next 2 hours. The next big pot in my favour came when I made a flush on the turn against an opponent with aces who just couldn't fold. I believe this is mainly because of my aggressive table image I formed earlier on. That boosted me up to 45k. I then lost 8k in two pots then won 1k in a coin flip and by the end of level 6 and the day I had 41575 in chips. Today I have been driving around Aruba and relaxing so that I will be ready for tomorrow. I hope I can maintain my level of play and keep on accumulating chips on day 2. There is a redraw for the tables, but what ever The outcome of that is I am sure I will be comfortable with it. I'll write again when I made it to the FT or my tournament is done.
