Here is what BUBIGNO from Italy has to say about his Absolute Poker experience: "Hi, my name is Gianluca and I am from Italy. I want to tell you that you are the BEST online poker site on the internet, Yes THE BEST! I downloaded 20 different poker clients and I uninstalled them all expect YOURS!!!!! You have so many freerolls and so many great players. Thanks!" Well BUBIGNO, we really do appreciate your kind words. Here are 3 tips to help you out with your poker game. 1) Observe your opponents. Sitting out a majority of the hands, especially early on, will give you a chance to observe your opponents, and you may pick up on some things that you can take advantage of later. 2) A player with an ego can be led into making mistakes. Some will overplay hands in efforts to make fancy maneuvers that prove to themselves and to others how clever they are. 3) A good poker player recognizes that it is not a good idea to criticize his opponents' play at the table. You wouldn't want to scare off an inferior player, and certainly wouldn't want to give him any motivation to play better.

If you ask Mr. Seif, he may not agree that poker is gambling. But the one-time lawyer now makes more money as a poker player. World Champions are doctors (Joe Hachem) and accountants (Chris Moneymaker). With the success of poker on TV anyone can do it. But not everyone can be good at it. Let's take a look at the success story of Absolute Poker player, Kohleppel who won the $150,000 guarantee 2 weeks ago for a first place prize of $38,000. When we asked him what his poker experience was his response was "3 years". That is about the time most players have been playing casually. With Kohleppel, it also said once in 2004, once in 2005, and weekly since 2006, so basically a year. We know about a lot of successful poker stories here at Absolute Poker and reading Kohleppel's profile was painting a picture of one in the making. His earliest memory of poker was playing for pennies with his grandmother (remember "old school" poker). Then years later, he started to beat his home game and then his first session at the casino earned him $1000. So far so good right? Like every good player, he takes bad beats in stride, casually telling us of his worst bad beat where he flopped the nut set in a cash game, turned the full house and lost to quads on the end. His story didn't have any "!!!" or "#%(#(@" characters that would typically replace words we can't print. The $38,000 was Kohleppel biggest win on the site and we are certain to hear more about him. Oh, we almost forgot. Kohleppel is in Law School. Surprise, surprise.
