In this year?s World Series of Poker tournament, the bracelets are more luxurious and expensive than ever before. Swiss watchmaker CORUM has designed the new bracelets. The bracelets of the WSOP 2007 come in four different models, made of 18-carat gold and enhanced with diamonds. The 55 bracelets have been designed with an emphasis on everyday wear. The most common bracelet design this year, with 53 diamonds apiece, will be the one given to the winners of the preliminary events. The winner of the $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E championship will receive a bracelet with 91 black diamonds and two rubies. The winner of the Ladies Championship will be given a bracelet with four black diamonds, 87 blue sapphires and two rubies. And last but not least, the winner of the championship gets a 136 gram bracelet of white gold enhanced with 120 diamonds. Photos of the bracelets can be found here. Needless to say, the value of the WSOP bracelets is not only about gold and diamonds. ?The World Series of Poker bracelet is the most coveted prize in gaming and the ultimate expression of excellence in poker,? said the commissioner of the WSOP, Jeffrey Pollack. Three of the most famous professional poker players, Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth, have each won 10 WSOP bracelets. So in this year?s WSOP tournament we can expect intense competition for the new bracelets since all of them will be trying to be the first to win bracelet No. 11. Sources:
