A three-day World Series of Poker Main Event Primer held by the WSOP Academy starts tomorrow July 5. Some of the world's best poker players will help participants prepare for the WSOP Main Event. The Main Event Primer also includes tournaments where players can win a seat in the Main Event.The
World Series of Poker Academy is an instuctional camp where the participants learn poker skills and tricks from top poker players in order to prepare for the WSOP Main Event. Instructors include som of the best poker players in the world; 11-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, 2004 World Champion Greg Raymer and 2005 World Champion Joe Hachem, WSOP bracelet winners Mark Seif and Scott Fischman, as well as Alex Outhred and Joe Navarro, a retired FBI agent who is an expert on poker tells.
During the three-day camp, there will be seminars, live hand demonstrations and workshops focusing on how to win a WSOP event, as well as two WSOP qualifiers. The qualifiers are two No-Limit Hold'em tournaments, held on Wednesday and Thursday this week, where the winners of the tournaments will win a seat in the 2007 Main Event.
The WSOP Main Event Primer will be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, beginning tomorrow July 3 and ending Thursday July 5. Day1A of the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em World Championship starts the day after, on Friday July 6 at noon PDT.
