Turbo Bad Beat Jackpot Tables

Turbo Bad Beat Jackpot tables have been introduced. This addition gives players just 15 seconds to make a play, this is twice as fast as before, and therefore gives players more chance to hit the Jackpot.

New Tournament Leaderboards

New leaderboards have been created focusing more on prizes and competitive play. There will now be 9 leaderboards split into two types: SNG Leaderboards and MTT Leaderboards.

Tournament Blackjack

The introduction of Tournament Blackjack will thrill both poker players and die hard blackjack players. In Tournament Blackjack, a player will still play each hand against the dealer but this is why it differs from traditional Blackjack: * The players will be trying to accumulate the largest amount of chips as they play. * The player with the least amount of chips after hands 8, 16 and 25 will be eliminated. * To add more excitement to the game we have added a Secret Bet feature. Each player is allowed one Secret Bet per round, this entitles you to bet a certain amount of chips, this will be hidden from the other players which brings an element of bluffing not found in other versions of Blackjack.

Player Notes

If you have a lot of player notes and use different computers or notebooks to play at Absolute Poker we will now ask you if we can import all your ‘player notes’ information. We will then give you complete access from any computer in the future. However, we can import player notes from only ONE computer, so this upgrade needs to be run on the computer you use for the majority of your online poker play.

FAME

Absolute Poker`s new loyalty program, rewards online poker players with elite benefits that get more exclusive as players become more famous. There are five levels to the FAME program - Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum VIP and Diamond Elite. Each time an Absolute Poker player participates in a real-money game, they`ll earn STATUS Points. The number of STATUS Points earned in a one-month period defines a player`s FAME STATUS level and determines the benefits they are eligible to receive.

Email Address Confirmation and Security Question

Absolute Poker has added a security question and answer field to its user profile and registration page. This will help us verify players`identity when they are talking to customer support. We have also added an email confirmation field to the registration page.

Absolute Buddy

We have launched Absolute Buddy, a convenient, complementary feature that allows online poker players to discover where their favorite players are seated and connect with them instantly. Absolute Buddy is integrated into the Absolute Poker software. Computer users familiar with instant messaging applications like Windows Live Messenger, Google Chat and AIM will find the interface of Absolute Buddy familiar and incredibly easy to use. Registered users can add their favorite poker players to Absolute Buddy and instantly discover when they`re online and where they`re seated. Players listed in bold represent those who are logged in to the Absolute Poker software. Online poker players seated at a table are denoted with a triangle to the left of their name. Clicking the triangle will display the table names where the player is seated. Poker players who appear in muted gray are not online. Not only does Absolute Buddy display the table name where a poker player is seated, but the feature will also catapult the player to a table when its name is double clicked.

Customers can now access all their account information in one centralized area. Our new and improved Help pages are designed to help you make the most economical payout choices. Creating an account and registering with the Cashier has been simplified.

Points for Cash: Automated Cash Tool for VIP players

Until now, players who qualified for points for cash have had to email a member of the support team to redeem their points for cash. The new system is automated and allows players to convert their points immediately. It is faster and easier for customers to use. When you`re ready to exchange your points for cash, just follow these simple steps: 1. Click the "My Account" tab in the Absolute Poker lobby. 2. Click "VIP Benefits" and then "Points for Cash" in the drop down menu. 3. Enter the amount of points you want to exchange (min 50000) 4. Finally click "OK" your points will be automatically converted to cash and added to your account.

Changes to Bad Beat Jackpot Structure

Now, instead of paying only the players at the table where the hand was dealt, we also pay everyone who is playing at the same limit/game type as the table where the bad beat occurred. New Poker Tables

AP tables now have a brand new look and feel! Three different viewing options are now available: 1) Top View, 2) Quarter View and 3) Classic View. The first time you enter the new poker room you will be given a viewing choice which you can change at any time by clicking Options from a table and then clicking "Change Table View".

All poker tables are now resizable! Just click and grab the lower right corner of a poker table window and resize it to the desired size. You can now also automatically tile up to 10 poker tables with just one click on the new tiling button that is located at the top right corner of all poker table windows. An additional button located beneath the tiling button allows you to view the tables in a cascaded arrangement.

Single SnG Tournament Lobby

Tournament lobbies are now available for single table SnG tournaments. The new lobbies are like those for the multi-table tournaments and provide additional information on registered players and the tournament prizes. The tournament lobbies are opened by double clicking on single SnG tournaments listed in the main lobby under "Sit & Go". Simply click on the "Register" button in the tournament lobby to join a tournament. When the required number of players register the tournament will automatically launch and you will be taken to the table.

Instant Play Holdem Tournaments

Holdem multi-table tournaments are now available for Instant Play, the no-download version that allows you to play in your browser!

Now you can access all of the multi-table Holdem tournaments of the downloadable version in your favorite browser.

Simply go to www.AbsolutePoker.com and click the "No-Download" link on the left side of the page and then follow the instructions to load Instant Play and join the fun.

Bad Beat Jackpot

New Bad Beat Jackpot tables have been added!

The Bad Beat Jackpot is only available at jackpot tables under the Holdem / Fixed Limit and No Limit tab. At each jackpot table a contribution of 50 cents is collected for each hand that has four or more players dealt in and a rake that is collected. The jackpot grows until someone wins!

The Bad Beat Jackpot is won if you have a four of a kind, 8's or better, and still get beaten by someone else who has a better hand. The best hands for both the pot winner and the loser (bad beat) must include their two hole cards. Four or more players must be in the hand for the jackpot to be paid out.

Fun Money Reload Info

A new help button has been added to the "Buy Chips" dialog from fun money poker game tables. This help button provides timely information on how to reload your fun money chips.

Password Changes

Passwords are now limited to 12 characters instead of 20 and only letters and numbers are valid. Special characters such as @#$^&, etc are not valid.

Table and Tournament Sorting

You can now sort the ring game and tournament listings on whatever criteria you wish and find your favorite games or tournaments quicker. For example, sort on date, on game or tournament name,
on ring game stakes, on tournament buy-in amount, etc. Just click the listing tab in the main application window that you want to sort on.

Clicking a selected tab will reverse the sorting order.

Table and Tournament Filter

You can now select which types of ring game tables (Holdem) and tournaments that you want to see in the main lobby.

Click the "Filter" button at the right of the table/tournament tabs to bring up the filter panel where you can specify what should be displayed. For Holdem, you can filter on the number of tables seats, table speed and stakes.
For tournaments you can filter on tournament and game types, limit and buy-in.

This release also contains several fixes and enhancements to improve your gaming experience.

Live Update Info

A new button in the information window that appears on startup of the application opens your default web browser to the software updates page that shows the details for the changes introduced.

Find User

The "Find User" feature that is accessible from the "Game Info" menu item of the application has been improved.

The feature now lists all of the poker ring game tables and tournament lobbies where the searched player is currently seated. You can navigate directly to these tables and lobbies with one click. There is also a new friends list available so you can easily find your buddies and join them in ring games and tournaments.

Improved Logout When Tables are Open

On closing the application, if you are seated at one or more tables, you will be asked if you want to close all tables automatically and continue to logout. This makes for a faster logout experience.
