Firewall Instructions

AVG Internet Security 7.5

Absolute Poker's applications require full access to the internet in order to work properly. If those files are blocked then you will not be able to connect to our game, use our features and will receiveerror messages like this:

"The connection cannot be established between your computer and our servers. Most likely, your Firewall is not allowing Absolute Poker to connect. Please email TechSupport@AbsolutePoker.com and let us know the name of your Firewall. We will provide you with instructions to configure it for use with Absolute Poker.".

You will have to manually configure your Firewall to permit or allow those files to access the internet. This manual is going to help you to easy perform this actionskeeping your computer safe and secure.

Step # 1

Software Opening

Right click on the AVG icon on your taskbar.

With this menu open, click on the Launch Control Center option.

Step # 2

Find the firewall settings

The AVG Internet Security uses 2 interfaces.Using the clasic one, check for the options that you have...

You can double click the firewall section Or you can click configure.

You are looking for the Firewall one.

Step # 3

Adding the rules 1

AVG has different options to configure, since you have to add the software applications press the Applications tab.

Now here, click on the "Add Application" now you are ready to add the AP applicationsthat you need, click on the "Add Application" button.

Adding the rules 2

At the “Applications Properties” window, click on the square button located by the “Application Path” field.

Then find our game folder – it is located in C:\Program Files\Absolute Poker.

You will see 7 applications to add, let's start with the Absolute Poker Hand History file called Aphh.exe.

Once you open it you will see the name, path &action to take (It must be allow)Then you can press ok.

Step # 5

Repeat

Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the files.

Here you have a brief outline about the Absolute Poker applications.

• Apph.exe Hand History
• Browser.exe Cashier and others
• Chkconn.exe Check connection
• Liveupdate.exe updates
• Mainclient.exe Main lobby
• Skinupdate.exe Table skins
• Userchatclient.exe Chat

 

With this procedure your firewall will be properly configured to use with our software.

Step # 6

Error messages

If you accidentally blocked our software or it automatically blocks itself after an update, you will receive this error message.

At this time your firewall already have the rules that you preiously added, butthey are blocking your connection,. To fix this, search those files, they are going to look like the image below.

Step # 7

Fixing the rules

Fixing the rules basically consists on editing the existing rules to allow the blocked application.

First select one of the Absolute Poker blocked applications and click on the "Edit Application" button.

Since the application is blocked you just have to change the action from Block to Allow.

At the end all your AP files will be allowed and ready to use.
