Burn cards are used in live poker games in order to prevent any improper actions by the dealer, and to prevent the use of marked cards. In the online environment this is not necessary, and for this reason we have chosen not to deal burn cards. The absence of a burn card(s) does not in any way affect the randomness of the next card off the deck, or the odds of receiving a particular card during the rest of the deal. When determining the odds of cards to come, calculations are always based on the number of cards seen (dealt) vs unseen (possible to be dealt), and as such the lack of burn cards is not a factor that will affect this.
Email validation is used to verify a player’s email address before they are permitted to access our software. In an effort to reduce the risk of fraudulent behavior, all players must validate their email address.
Upon registration, an email will be sent to your email account featuring a 5-character code. Due to filtering settings of certain email programs, our email may have been directed to your ‘Junk’ or ‘Bulk’ folder. Be sure to check these folders for our email and add our address to your safe sender list. The next time you open the Absolute Poker software, you will be asked to enter the 5-character code found in our email before logging in. If you do not receive your validation code, please contact support@absolutepoker.com and we will assist you right away. You can find out more information about our shuffling techniques by visiting our Integrity page. |
