Learning DayMonday, August 13, 2007 / posted by Serinda @ 1:50 PM I had one great hand with Buttercards where I had pocket K's and was sure that they would be ace magnets... but no, they were flush magnets. The flop comes 3 hearts (now I’m thinking I might be ok with my one K that’s a heart but knowing my normal luck some guy is sitting on the ace :) So a small round of betting takes place then the turn... another heart, so now I have the K high flush but am certain that Buttercards has the A but he checks and so do I (questionable decision I know but I did have a reason...) the last card was a 7 of diamonds... he checks... now this threw me for a loop because I thought if he had it he would at least bet a little... but the check comes and I decide to bet.... I have my fingers crossed that he doesn’t call or re-raise, both could be bad... if he calls and has the ace then every rail bird is like " it smelt of aces the whole time... what were u thinking...blah blah blah" and if he re-raises then there is the large possibility that I fold the winning hand. But then....he folded! I know I couldn’t believe it either... I did play a mighty good game though...lol. Write in and let me know if you think I should have played it differently. See you next week!
