Ante Up for Africa Tournament

Well today was busy but a lot of fun...From walking the red carpet at the Ante Up for Africa Tournament with Annie Duke and Don Cheadle to playing with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Adam Sandler and many more. You could say it was an eventful day!

I did some interviews in the morning with our two Absolute Poker Dream Package winners and really got into their heads...Then headed off to the red carpet reception to get signed in and then sign one of the tables...I was after Ben Affleck (look for me behind his left ear on Access Hollywood...lol just joking). I was featured on ESPN and had quite a few other interviews as well. After that was all over it was time to go to the tables! I promised I would never tell a bad beat story but let me summarize it for you - first hand I flop a straight and this guy gets a boat on the river! OMG! I was playing him hard too...Needless to say I was short stacked and with Annie Duke at my table I didn't last long... At least Daniel Negreanu and Matt Damon went out before me. But it was all for fun and for a great cause. Then it was off to the after party. Charles Barkley grabbed my girlfriend and I and rushed us upstairs...That is one large human being! All the stars were out and I have to say it was one wild party! Check out my pictures... You'll have a good laugh!

Charity Poker Tournament: Serinda Swan joined Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Top Celebreties

Serinda Swan, the face of Absolute Poker, played in the first annual Ante up for Africa event, a No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament created to bring much-needed attention to the ongoing genocide crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan.

I am honored to be a part of this extremely worthwhile cause, stated Serinda Swan from the World Series of Poker floor. It is exciting to see the popularity of poker being used to help make the world a better place.

Hosted by Don Cheadle and Annie Duke, the July 5th tournament took place on the floor of the 2007 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and featured some of Hollywood’s biggest stars.

Joining Serinda on the floor were Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Montel Williams, Martin Sheen, Jason Alexander, Shannon Elizabeth, Charles Barkley, Adam Sandler and a host of other celebrities. They were joined by poker’s most famous faces, including Annie Duke and Phil Hellmuth.
