Playing Aggressive...

For this Sunday with Serinda, I was mixing it up a bit and playing a few different tables. First, I hit up my regular 1/2 NL table and had a bit of luck making about $250.

The cards weren't really coming but I was playing rather aggressively, so it was throwing people off (usually I’m a tight player). When I did have a good hand, no one would play with me. For example, if I had pocket Ks, or a great hand like A J suited and the flop comes A J 9, I would slow play it to death - letting the guy pick up the straight on the river.

At this point I tilted, ears steaming, vein on forehead bulging, ready to throw my computer out of the window at the hint of a misplay on my part. So I switched tables. I decided to play 2/4 NL which after being called out, and told that I was weak, you know who you are, it actually gave me some of my game back and I ended up being up after all. Yeah I’m learning!

I have to get my game a little tighter too because I will be a contestant on The Best Damn Poker Show with Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke. I’m actually pretty excited about this game. It is a 3 episode show where we start with 40 players, play down to 30 the first episode, then the start of the second show will be where Phil and Annie will “draft” their teams.

From there on out it is a battle to the final table for some great prizes. Be sure to check it out as there will be celebrities and lots of great personalities. It can’t be anything else but a blast. I will find out more and keep you guys posted. Until then see you next week!
