Activity Descriptions

Player Registration – At registration, players will receive their credentials, which will be required throughout the event for access to various functions. Players will also receive a welcome bag that will include a variety of Sports Legends Challenge commemorative items and other valuable gifts. Sports Legends Challenge staff will be on hand to answer player questions.

Sit ‘n Gos for Sports Memorabilia – Poker and Blackjack Sit ‘n Gos will be held on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, offering players the opportunity to win valuable sports memorabilia.

Sit ‘n Gos with Poker Pros – Poker Sit ‘n Gos will be offered on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, providing players the opportunity to play No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em for cash with the world famous Poker Pros that will be on hand for the Sports Legends Challenge.

Sit ‘n Gos with the Sports Legends – Poker and Blackjack Sit ‘n Gos will be offered on Day 2 and Day 3, providing players with the opportunity to compete with the Sports Legends for collectables.

Cash Games – Poker and Blackjack Cash Games will be offered on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, providing players the opportunity to play against other players, the Poker Pros and Sports Legends for cash.

Poker Academy – The Sports Legends Challenge Poker Academy will be one of the event’s featured programs. At the Sports Legends Challenge Poker Academy, world famous Poker Pros will headline training sessions on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3. With the line-up of top Poker Pros that are participating in the Sports Legends Challenge, the Sports Legends Challenge Poker Academy is sure to be one of the most prestigious poker academies ever held. Training sessions will be offered multiple times per day.

Silent Auction – A silent auction featuring memorabilia from prominent current athletes as well as extremely rare and unique vintage sports memorabilia will be held throughout the four days of the Sports Legends Challenge event.

Sports Trivia Contest – Buzztime, the number one name in interactive trivia, will offer highly engaging and entertaining sports trivia contests on Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, providing sports trivia buffs with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and win valuable prizes.

Sports Legends Q&As – Highly entertaining and lively Q&A sessions will be held on Day 2 and Day 3 featuring the Sports Legends answering questions submitted by players.

Special Events

Sports Legends Challenge Draft Party – In an electrifying atmosphere similar to the NFL or NBA draft, all SLC players will gather in the ballroom where they will be drafted onto the team of one of the SLC Sports Legends. Additionally, each of the 21 teams will have a world famous Poker Pros assigned to their team as a coach during the draft party.

Sports Betting Workshop – Vegas Insider, the industry’s leading sports betting handicapper, will feature a number of the top handicappers providing insights into successful sports betting.

Meet the Legends Ceremony – Players gather as the Sports Legends arrive in the main ballroom and are welcomed to the Sports Legends Challenge. The Sports Legends are then introduced to their teammates as the team captain and teams gather for photos.

Day 2 Team Parties – Individual teams will gather with their Sports Legend team captains along with their Poker Pro team coaches to swap stories, discuss tournament results and develop winning game plans. This will be the perfect time for players to get up-close and personal with their Sports Legend team captain and Poker Pro coach. This will also serve as an opportunity for photos and autographs. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and open bar will be provided.

Cocktails and Cigars Party – An excellent way to cap off the second day of competition and provide an opportunity for players, Sports Legends and Poker Pros to mix, mingle, relax and engage in memorable conversation. Cocktails and fine cigars will be served.

Awards Ceremony Reception - Heavy hors d'oeuvres and open bar will be provided.

Awards Ceremony – Awards and prize money will be presented to daily tournament winners in all categories. Additionally, pairings will be announced for the Sports Legends All-Star Poker Challenge. This event will be emceed by one of the Sports Legends and/or a possible special guest.

Live Auction – Legendary Auctions, the leading vintage sports memorabilia auction house, will be on-hand with some of the most rare and valuable sports memorabilia.
