New Bad Beat Jackpot Record at Absolute Poker Passes $320,000

Miami, FL (PRWeb) July 9, 2007 – Not to be outdone by their own previous record set just last week, Absolute Poker today announced that the prize pool of their new Bad Beat Jackpot game has grown to over $320,000 as of Monday afternoon.
 
“Somebody call Guinness and Ripley’s,” stated David Clainer, VP for Absolute Poker. “We’re getting ready to give away an unbelievable amount of cash for a fifth time in less than 3 weeks and someone’s life is about to be dramatically changed forever.”

The previous bad beat jackpot – a record set less than one week ago - had reached $297,287.63. The victim of the 4th qualifying bad beat walked away from the hand with $104,050.68 in cash. Several other players in the bad beat hand shared an additional $104,000.

To help the jackpot build, $0.50 is collected from qualifying hands at Bad Beat Jackpot tables. It will keep growing until someone hits the next qualifying bad beat.

With the jackpot at an all-time high, the next qualifying bad beat victim will become the biggest Bad Beat Jackpot winner to date, winning in excess of $112,000. That number will continue to rise with every passing minute.

Clainer attributes the success of the Bad Beat Jackpot tables to the frequency of wins since its June 22nd launch.
