Born in 1984 and raised in Kent, UK, Liv Boeree’s competitive spirit came out at a young age with competitive horse riding and other sports activities taking up a lot of her time. The model, who has appeared in Online Gambling Magazine, graduated from the University of Manchester in 2005 with a first-class degree in astrophysics. This wasn’t the only life-changing event in her world that year, as she also appeared on the Poker Channel’s UltimatePoker.com Showdown program.

Liv appeared on the show as one of five “poker virgins” that had no experience with the game and learned how to play from three of the sport’s titans: Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, and online poker’s Devilfish. From this experience, Liv found herself playing – and winning - at live poker tournaments across the UK. Her personality and playing style soon made it apparent that she’d be a perfect fit at Absolute Poker.
