In the early morning on Wednesday, August 29th, the biggest Bad Beat Jackpot in online poker was hit. Early in the morning to those in North America, but not so for "KADI" who was enjoying the AP tables a half-day ahead in Australia. Up to a challenge, KADI had spent about 4 hours on another bad beat table before moving to what would become the winning table. Smart move. About an hour and a half into the game, she was dealt 67 of spades. With a flat call, the flop had given her a flush and a gut shot straight flush. CLOBBERS was on the same program with a higher flopped flush and the same gut shot straight flush. The turn was a blank, and the river brought the card that made her rich. The 9 of spades sealed the deal and history was made. This single mom with 2 kids has been playing poker for 2 years. When asked what she would do with the money, she responded, "This will help provide security for me and my children. I also plan on buying a new car." I guess now she can lay to rest her '93 Ford ED.
