Bad Beat by Raj

here is my bad beat story.. was playing in an Internet tourney which according to bankroll was quite high buy in- 50 or 100 dollars.. when playing

on these levels I assume that most people know how to play.. well it didn't go too well and 2-3 hours into the tourney is was down to 15 bb.. i was then really happy to pick up QQ on the bb.. the player utg limped.. and so did 7 more players.. not wanting to see a flop with 7 players i decided to push it

with my 15 bb to win the 8 bb in the pot.. the player utg thought for the full amount of time and called.. and was folded around to the sb who called.. didn't really expect 2 calls for this size of raise with their stack

sizes and really didn't want a K or A to hit on the flop.. i put the players on 2 high cards or medium pockets.. the flop came J-9-9 which i really liked

cause i didn't think anyone would call with 9-10 or A-9.. and with J-J they would probably have raised at some time.. when the sb bets out I'm feel I'm ahead.. thinking he might have hit the straight draw or most prob the Jack..
its a bit more than a half-pot sized bet and I'm guessing the utg player would

fold.. but he doesn't, he calls.. then turn card is a 7 ( 7-9-9-J ) and the only card that could help was 8-10 which i didn't recon anyone to play in this situation.. so when sb bets half the pot again which is half the utg players stack i feel he will fold or go all in but just calls!!.. after some

consideration.. on the turn a 10 falls off (7-9-9-10-J) having QQ i find it very unlikely to that someone has a Q high or K high straight.. but when sb checks the river and utg moves all in for he last chips.. and sb makes a crying call that is small in proportion to the pot i feel my stomach start to

turn.. he shows 8-8 for a runner runner straight!! .. he called an huge all in preflop which might be OK.. but then calling two big bets on flop and turn where he might be drawing dead or to an inside straight draw and hitting

it.. sending me out of the tourney and the sb player down to his last 20% who by the way had K J.. bet we both felt really sick after that hand.. when

I'm all in preflop i usually don't get mad.. but this guy paid to see 2 more cards and hit his amazing hand..
