The Tournament Leaderboard at leading online poker site has upped the ante to create $100,000 Yearly Tournament Leaderboard and real-time updates to the rankings
Miami, FL, Tuesday, June 2, 2009 - Leading online poker site Absolute Poker today revealed a revamped Tournament Leaderboard competition for 2009, raising the stakes to give online poker players at both sites a million reasons to keep on coming back.
This year's Tournament Leaderboard competitions combines both online poker sites on the CEREUS Poker Network to create an even more lucrative yearly prizepool of over $1 Million, and is guaranteed to give players the benefit of more prize money on the table in the weekly, monthly and yearly leaderboard competitions at Absolute Poker.
The changes to the system incorporate real-time leaderboard status updates, and delivers a more user-friendly Tournament Leaderboard page, so that players can instantly and effortlessly see where they rank in the current pecking order at any given time.
A highlight of the June relaunch includes the Yearly Tournament Leaderboard with a total prize pool of $100,000 up for grabs, with $50,000 awarded to the top 10 finishers, including cash and Aruba Poker Classic prize packages to the top 3 places. The top 100 players of the year will also be invited to participate in a $50,000 Yearly Tournament Leaderboard freeroll.
Players at Absolute Poker are automatically enrolled into the site's weekly, monthly and yearly leaderboard competitions. To climb to the top of the leaderboard ladder, the winning player must collect the most points by doing well in a lot of big tournaments. There's no fee to join in the Leaberboard competitions, and now that both online poker sites employ the same unique tournament leaderboard formula, it's arguably the best Leaderboard Competition in the business.
The leaderboard ranking system is designed to account for the varying levels of skill in different buy-in tournaments and the number of players in a tournament. The higher a player cashes in a tournament, and the bigger the prize pool, the more points he or she will earn.
CEREUS, which launched on November 25th , 2008 after more than 12 months of development, delivers a secure, responsive and flexible online poker gaming experience to members of AP communities.
