New leaderboard scoring system makes it easier for players of all levels to cash in
Miami, FL September 1, 2008 - Absolute Poker today announced a revamped leaderboard competition, redesigned from the ground up to reward players of skill levels for their Texas Hold’em talent and love of the game.
“It’s now easer than ever for players of all abilities to cash in and win big by climbing up the many exciting leaderboards at Absolute Poker,” stated an Absolute Poker spokesperson.
While the old leaderboard system rewarded those who spent a lot of time at Absolute Poker’s tables, the new scoring algorithm is focused on rewarding players who make it to the final table in Multi-Table Tournaments and Sit & Go games.
The Multi-Table Tournament leaderboard competition awards weekly, monthly and yearly prizes that include: the chance to play a pro for $1,000 each week; $10,000 shared among the top 50 players every month and seats in a $20,000 for each month’s top 100; and $10,000 shared among the top three yearly players plus seats in another $20,000 freeroll for the year’s top 100 players.
The new leaderboard system also includes separate weekly and monthly competitions for Sit & Go players. Online poker players compete in three different classes—Diamond, Heart and Spade—and win entries into their favorite Sit & Go tournaments based on the buy-ins of the games they’ve entered.
